Sotto, located in Downtown Cincinnati, is an underground restaurant with a simple brick-and-wood décor that serves some of the best Italian cuisines in the city. They’re known for their pasta, massive range of wines, rich ingredients, and top-notch service. Sotto is a great destination to visit to celebrate a special occasion with some fantastic Italian cuisine.

Via Vite

Via Vite is one of the most well-known Italian restaurants in the city, serving a range of pasta, risottos, pizzas, and salads. It is located in Fountain Square in the center of Downtown Cincinnati. In addition to their food, they have a large selection of artisan beers, wines, and cocktails. They even offer an outdoor eating deck with views of the square, a delightful place to dine during the summer.

A Tavola, an Italian eatery in Over-The-Rhine and Madeira, is another excellent place to eat Italian food. Their menu includes a variety of pizzas, pasta, salads, an extensive wine selection, and house-made cocktails.

Maggiano’s Little Italy

Maggiano’s Little Italy, located in the Kenwood Town Centre, is an Italian restaurant that serves various traditional Italian meals. They’re noted for their reasonable prices, prompt service, substantial serving sizes, and delectable meals, as well as their extensive appetizer menu. The fried mozzarella is our particular favorite starter, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Nicola’s

Nicola’s is one of Cincinnati’s most sophisticated Italian dining establishments. This restaurant in Over-The-Rhine has a distinct ambiance with exposed brick and soft lighting that contributes to the meal’s ambiance. Their menu is plenty of delicious selections, but our favorites are the homemade bolognese and the house salad.

Biagio’s Bistro

Biagio’s Bistro, located in the heart of Clifton’s Gaslight District, is a bit of a hidden gem that residents like. The service is superb, the food is delicious, and the ambiance is welcoming. The tomato basil soup is one of our favorite dishes here, but the entire menu is full of wonderful options.

Vincenzo’s

Vincenzo’s in Sharonville is one of the top Italian restaurants in Cincinnati’s northern suburbs. On their website, you can learn a little about the restaurant’s head chef:

Last but not least, there’s Forno, an Italian restaurant in the heart of Hyde Park’s posh neighborhood. Forno is famous for serving some of the city’s most unusual Italian cuisine, such as octopus, swordfish, and wild boar. Traditional dishes such as pasta and salads are also available. The cuisine is terrific, the service is excellent, and the overall experience at Forno is fantastic.
