The Bell Tower, one of the few remaining functional carillons in the country, is also located within the park. During the summer months, carillon concerts are also given on Sundays.

9. The Quarter Bistro Restaurant
At number nine on our list, the Quarter Bistro is one of the more well-known eateries in the neighborhood, and with good reason. The restaurant’s Latin and French-inspired dishes, as well as outstanding service, pleasant interior seating, and an outdoor patio, make it a must-visit in Mariemont for dinner and cocktails.
Slow-cooked beef short ribs, fish with butter sauce and vegetables, and wagyu beef are local favorites. The quarter also has a wide selection of wines, artisan beers, and cocktails to complement the superb meals.

8. The National Exemplar
The National Exemplar, a historic restaurant in the heart of Mariemont’s town square, is the second item on our Mariemont bucket list. The National Exemplar is known for its smoked salmon, shrimp salad, short rib pasta, and various burgers, but there’s something for everyone on the menu.
They offer a selection of wines, drinks, and craft brews to complement the dishes, in addition to superb cuisine.

7. Mariemont Gardens Park
Mariemont Gardens Park is number 7 on our list. Located on the banks of the Little Miami River, this park offers a 1.5 mile looped trail that offers excellent views of the river.
This loop is a great place to do some light hiking, bird watching, dog walking, or trail running. The trail itself is fairly flat all the way around, so it’s great for joggers, dog walkers, and families alike.

6. Stanley Rowe Arboretum
The Stanley Rowe Arboretum is our next stop. This 9-acre arboretum, which is only five minutes from Mariemont’s town square, is a great site to take a walk around numerous nature gardens and see hundreds of different plant species.
The greenhouse is free to enter and open every day from sunrise tonight.

5. Bass Island Biking Trail
The Bass Island bicycling trail, at number five on our list, is a 2.4-mile trail with stunning vistas of the Little Miami River and various wooded sections. The walk has some lovely views of wildflowers and other birds, and it’s a terrific way to get outside and appreciate nature without having to travel too far outside of town.
The trail also links to the paved Little Miami Scenic Trail, which is 78 miles long.

4. Mariemont Players Theater
Mariemont Players, one of Cincinnati’s oldest community theatres, is ranked fourth on our list. The theatre is run by volunteers and hosts six public performances each year.
Comedies, dramas, mysteries, and musicals are just a few of the genres represented at the theatre. Mariemont Players provides a unique theatre experience for locals and visitors alike, with moderate prices and high-quality productions.

3. Graeter’s Ice Cream
Number three on our list is the local Graeter’s Ice Cream Shop, which is located in the heart of the town center. Mariemont’s most popular ice cream shop is by far Mariemont, and it’s a local favorite hangout location for an evening cone.
Graeter’s offers a vast choice of flavors and toppings for anything from cones to shakes, sundaes, and malts. Graeter’s is a must-see for everyone visiting Mariemont.

2. Fifty West Brewery
Fifty West Brewery, located just down the road from the Mariemont town square, is ranked second on our list as one of Cincinnati’s most unusual breweries. Fifty West Brewery, located along the Little Miami River, is one of the region’s only breweries with six outdoor volleyball courts, which offer weekly leagues and tournaments.
On Tuesdays, they also hold “Penny Flip” nights, when you may literally flip a penny and just have to pay one penny for your drink if you predict correctly!

1. Mariemont Theatre
The Mariemont Theatre, an old-school movie theatre in the heart of the neighborhood that screens independent and foreign films and sing-along shows and other events, is the greatest thing to do in Mariemont.
The theatre had only one screen when it first opened in 1939 until it was closed, rebuilt, and reopened with three screens in the late 1990s. The theatre acquired two new screens in the back of the building in 2013.
With so much history, it only fits that this theatre stands right in the heart of Mariemont. It’s a hidden gem in the neighborhood, and you should visit it if you are in the area.
